Company Overview

Good-Loop is a platform that puts video ads on websites.
But: if you watch one of our ads, the advertiser gives half the money to charity.
We currently serve 1.6m ad impressions a month, with clients including Unilever, Kit-Kat, and Canon. Last year we raised over £200,000 for good causes – such as medical aid, educating children, helping the homeless, tackling mental health issues. We are turning ads from a nuisance to be blocked, into a shared positive moment (which works better for the advertiser too). Our company mission is to make ethical more profitable.


Candidate Requirements (Essential)

  • Mathematics or data-science skills. Specific qualifications are not required - evidence of ability is required.

Role Description

Company Overview

Good-Loop takes money from advertisers, and gives it to charities.
But Good-Loop is not itself a charity: we do this by making ads more effective, and we make a healthy profit on each ad. We are turning ads from a nuisance to be blocked, into a shared positive moment which funds social and environmental good. We also believe in treating internet users fairly, empowering them to be partners in the advertising and data ecosystem. Clients include Unilever, Kit-Kat, and Pepsi and we're on track to over £1m in ad spend this year.


Key Tasks

  • Developing our web-applications

Sales Manager

Role Description

While this is a consultative sales role the ideal candidate will be of an entrepreneurial mind-set with a significant understanding of the advertising landscape, strong interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships and be very self-motivated. The ideal candidate will also be a creative strategist with excellent organisational abilities.


The role will report in to the Head of Brand and Agency Partnerships, Julia Hitchman, who has over a decade of experience working within the advertising industry. The role is required to work alongside Julia to build out the sales revenue and pipeline together, but ultimately the Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for developing their own strategy for creating awareness within the agency landscape and with clients directly where necessary. They will be required to work collaboratively with all teams relating to the sales team such as Account Management and Tech Ops teams.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Act to acquire new customers and manage client relationships from both Direct Advertisers and Agency spaces (new and existing)
  • Create and deliver new business pitches
  • Maintain a pipeline of business opportunities including accurately forecasting monthly and quarterly revenues
  • Work with other internal functions, advising on the competitive commercial landscape and helping to ensure the Good-Loop proposition remains competitive and highly valued
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Identify emerging opportunities and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Ensure we exceed customer expectations by offering best-in-market gold standard service
  • Collaborate and coordinate with diverse teams (marketing, adops, tech solutions etc.)

Requirements

  • 1-3yrs+ Digital/Programmatic experience in a sales capacity
  • Thorough understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and familiarity with the programmatic landscape
  • Previous experience as a Sales Manager, with clearly demonstrable success at achieving or exceeding revenue targets
  • An extensive network of contacts – ideally Omnicom Media Group, Publicis Groupe and Independents
  • Good comprehension of market research methods and analysis
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mind-set
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
